Our high-quality and heavy-duty Cable Tensioners & Guides have a field-proven spring-loaded design that provides constant tension on the winch cable. This effectively eliminates slack cable condition and improves the winding of the cable on the drum. The rollers are expertly engineered from high carbon steel with bronze bushings for longer service life. The vertical rollers are designed to prevent the cable from rubbing the sides of the drum. Our tensioners are available in 6-1/2”, 9”, and 11” sizes, which are designed to be used with 1/4" – 1/2" sized wire ropes. We also have a 6-1/2” cable tensioner that has an attached bracket that is designed to bolt onto Jerr-Dan Trucks and is for use on rear mount winches with 6” – 7” drums. We also have a Replacement Latch Kit for any quick repair that needs to be done.
