Super Swaged Winch Lines

Wire Rope Assemblies provide you with a superior combination of flexibility and durability. They are useful for a number of different applications, but heavy-duty lifting is what they are mostly known for. They come with either a fiber core or a steel core. The purpose of the core is to provide unrelenting support while maintaining the position of the outer strands of the rope during the job. For our selection, the number of strands wrapped around the core is usually six while the number of wires per strand is between 25 and 26. Our wire ropes feature a 6X25 Extra Improved Plow Steel Construction made from natural or synthetic fibers, which possesses the best combination of elasticity and wear resistance, or a 6X26 Extra Improved Plow Steel Construction with a stainless steel duplex sleeve, which has a higher resistance to drum crushing, making it the more durable choice for the rougher jobs. The ropes are equipped with either a self-locking hook or an alloy swivel hook. The self-locking hook is engineered to provide optimized security with its built-in thick latch feature. The alloy swivel hook also offers maximum holding strength, and its built-in latch helps prevent the hook from coming off of the anchoring point. Please note that the general specifications, warnings, and working load limits are printed clearly on each tag of our wire rope assemblies for your safety and convenience.

Super Swaged Winch Lines

Super Swaged Winch Lines feature a compact design that allows for up to 26-percent greater strength than standard winch lines of the same diameter. Due to the swaging process, the outer wires of the line have a larger surface area, offering superior resistance to abrasion, crushing, pig tailing, and kinking. The winch line is already compacted because of the swaging, so there is less space within the rope to compact if exposed to crushing. The precision cast internal hourglass shape is designed to maximize sleeve to wire rope contact and cross-sectional fill. The lip covers sharp wires in the tail. The 3/8” by 56’, 75’, 100’, and 150’ sized super swaged winch lines have a working load limit of 5,700 lbs. with a minimum break strength of 20,400 lbs. The 7/16” by 50’, 75’, and 100’ sized winch lines have a working load limit of 7,600 lbs. with a minimum break strength of 27,200 lbs. These working load limits have a 3.55:1 Design Factor as per ASME/ASTM B30.5, formerly SAEJ959.
