Synthetic Winch Lines

The Synthetic Winch Lines are extremely high strength, lightweight, low stretch, super tough, abrasion resistance, flexible, and safer to handle with no razor edges, no shrapnel, and low coil. They have about 1/7th of the weight of steel cables, making them the more lightweight and easier to handle choice, especially in long recoveries where extensions may be needed. The rope is smooth enough with no burrs, reducing the risk of cuts and injuries to your hands during usage. Should it break, the energy released is much less than that of steel cable. Because the rope is also lighter and softer, it reduces the chance of injury even further.

More Durable, More Lightweight, More Flexible

The synthetic rope is designed with no memory, which means no flat spots or kinks. Even if the rope winds back onto itself in the winch, any visible flat spots are purely visual and disappear once put under load. “Bird nesting” is no longer an issue because of this, so the rope can wind back onto itself and dig back into itself while causing no damage to the rope, making it easier to pull it out compared to steel cables.

These high-quality and extremely durable synthetic winch lines are engineered to work in almost any application, including through sheaves and side pullers. Remember that you line must be sitting clean in all the sheaves. If the line is sitting on the edge and be under tension, it could be severed. The line must also be the proper size for the sheave. Synthetic lines flatten down when put under tension, and if the line is too large for the sheave, it could go over the edge of the pulley and cause the fibers to get damaged or cut.

We have our winch lines available in a variety of sizes, including 3/8” by 50’, 75’, and 100’ sizes and 7/16” by 100’ sizes with either heavy-duty self-locking hooks or high-quality hoist hooks. They can easily handle working load limits between 4,100 lbs. and 5,200 lbs.
