Shackles

Shackles are designed to provide support for a number of applications, including rigging, towing, and securement jobs. They can be used to connect different types of assemblies, such as lifting slings, chains, or wire ropes, to each other or to another object. The Screw Pin Anchor Shackles feature a threaded pin for quick and easy connection and disconnection, providing a solid yet temporary means of attachment. The shackles that we have available are Alloy Screw Pin Anchor Shackles and Carbon Screw Pin Anchor Shackles along with our patented Twist Lock Shackles. The carbon screw pin shackles have a Design Factor of 6:1 and are more ductile than alloy. The alloy screw pin shackles have a Design Factor of 5:1 and are stronger than carbon steel.

Twist Lock Shackles

You can find our patented Twist Lock Shackles available here that offer innovative solutions to your chain assemblies. Made from forged alloy steel with a solid alloy pin, the shackles are designed for quick locking and unlocking action, which means less time spent in the “danger zone.” No tools are required to operate the shackle, making it so much quicker and easier to install and remove it. The pin can fully retract without coming loose, creating plenty of room when installing or removing the shackle from its spot. The open cross pin becomes a stable handle. Because the pin is still permanently attached to the shackle, you don’t have to worry about constantly needing to replace any lost pin. The minimum ultimate break is four times the working load limit, and the shackles have been proof tested to twice the working load limit. All of these shackles have a batch code which links to a test certificate and quality traceability, and the size and working load limit are permanently shown on each shackle for added safety.
