Load Binders

B/A Products Co. Load Binders are designed to help you apply tension to the chains in order to completely secure the vehicle or load before taking off. Easy to use, these binders can handle the heavy-duty loads with ease, providing a reliable means of securement by effectively tightening down the chain assemblies until they create a viselike grip over the load. These load binders are equipped with a pair of high-quality and solid clevis grab hooks. The hooks allow you to attach the binder nearly anywhere along the length of the chain. They are designed to easily slide right into the links, creating a strong grip that keeps the binder in place throughout transit.

Easy Ratchet Binders Vs. Quick Lever Binders

We offer two different types of load binders: ratchet binders and lever binders. The ratchet binders are designed to work in a ratcheting motion to tighten down the chain. While the process does take some strain off of the operator’s muscles, it is a slower and steadier process. On the other hand, the lever binder requires a single firm push in order to tighten the chains. This takes much less time but requires some strength and force. Both of these options are available in a variety of sizes, and both are engineered from high-quality steel for longer lasting durability.

The main benefit of Ratchet Load Binders is the fact that they are designed to take a lot of strain off of the back and shoulder muscles of the operator. Though the process is slower and steadier, meaning that it will take a bit longer to get the chain fully tensioned. As such, there is less energy stored in the handle, minimizing the risk of kickback. The binder is comprised of a gear, handle, pawl, and solid end fittings. Our ratchet binders can fit 3/16” to 1/4”, 5/16” to 3/8”, 3/8” to 1/2", 1/2" to 5/8”, and 5/8” to 3/4" chain sizes.

The Under Reach Load Binder features a long chain so that you can attach the binder directly to the anchoring point to begin tension from there. Our patented Upper Hand Load Binder features a folding handle on one of the hook eyes so that you can tension the chain without twisting it. The QuikBinder Plus is a unique load binder that makes the job so much easier on your end. It is designed with a 3-position pawl that offers a choice of ratchet extension, ratchet take-up, or a “free spin” setting for faster adjustment in either direction. This takes much less time when it comes to securing the load.

The advantage of the Lever Load Binder is its simplicity in design. It is a very straightforward machine with fewer moving parts, which means it takes less effort to keep it clean and well-maintained. The high-quality steel handle provides fast and easy leverage, allowing you to use a single firm push to apply the necessary amount of tension to the chains. The chains are pulled tight enough to get rid of the slack, tightening them until they are able to effectively secure your vehicle for transportation. Once the handle rotates about 180 degrees, it locks in place, making sure that the chains remain well-tensioned for the trip. Our lever binders can be used on 3/16” to 1/4", 5/16” to 3/8”, and 3/8” to 1/2" chains. One disadvantage of the lever binder is the fact that the handle can store a lot of kinetic energy, so you must be aware of possible kickback when the lever is released.
